PB says Happy New Year

There's a couple of challenges of New Year cards Stamp with Fun and Everybody Art .
I thought this stamp would fit the bill. Since I don't send New Year cards I've left out the sentiment. The papers are BG June Bug and the punched borders are the Fiskars Border Punch Threading Water. The stamped image is of course Penny Black.
So tonight I will be celebrating at Wings in Farnborough, guaranteed good night and no driving for Hubby since we will be staying at Sis and she loves her green tea, so no alcohol touches her lips.
Thinking back to the resolutions I made at the beginning of the year, I only managed to keep one of the three, which is for being invited on a DT and I've been lucky to be on more than one.
But the other two, to lose weight, guess I just carry that one forward and to use Damon the sewing machine, I'm very disappointed that Damon got put away for decorating and I conveniently left him there!!!!

Pink Gem's Little Cutie

Can't believe I didn't post a card yesterday, never mind here's one for today. I've used the Mojo Monday sketch and the little cutie is one of the new stamps from Pink Gem Designs. Do you fancy winning 6 of the new Designs then you need to pop over to here.
I've used Bo Bunny papers and the daisy embossing folder.
Don't forget the challenge over on Simon Says Stamps runs for another week so if you didn't have time last week you've still got time to enter and the challenge is perfect for the New Year celebrations and there's a yummy prize too.

PB Balloons and Hedgies

I'm running late this morning especially since I had to wait for daylight to take a photo of today's card. I've used the sketch on Create4fun for this card although I missed out the circle but laid out the flowers in a curve. The stamp is Penny Black that I brought from Susie who was selling some of her stamps, papers are DCWV and the flowers are prima.
I've just had a phone call from my Sis that she going to get some bread and milk for our Mum then she picking me up, this could be a problem since I'm still in my jimjams.

Thanks

Back to normal, the Cuttlebug is back in the Kitchen by the door near my Craft room and all the stuff on the dining room table is back and my craft desk is all clear for a day of crafting. Hubby is working with BIL and DD has Wii and its keeping her quiet although she's complaining her arms ache!
Now I know I'm in time for this challenge its the Stamp with Fun sketch and I've used My Minds Eye Be loved that I brought from MJ Every Moment Matters but I do have in my possession the new BG pads and some Crate Paper which I brought before Christmas from Nikki at BunnyZoe's.
The cute image is WOJ and the flowers are woodware punches. Not sure I look photo-ing tall cards they don't show up the detail.

Raining again

So did you have a fab Christmas Day, I have to thank Aunt Bessie cos she helped with the dinner this year and DD said my Christmas Dinner was better than what she had at her works do at the Four Seasons Hotel so praise indeed.
I do have a card but I've got a bit confused that Christmas Day was Friday and I've missed the deadline for Friday Sketchers so this is the sketch from Aud, last week. There's a new challenge and a blog hop with lots of candy, oh and a sketch too.
Back to my late card, I've used my fave Bo Bunny and the new Home Grown from Sugar Nellie and the flower is from Tabbycrafts. Whoops just noticed that I've forgot the glossy accents on the puddle, not sure if I can get near it yet, my room is full of craft stuff from around the house, one more day and I can put it back!!!!!!!

Favourite Christmas Cards

In no particular order here's my Christmas Faves.

I even took another photo of this card cos the other one was so awful.
Bit of a cheat here, I love how this box turned out and so impress with myself that I managed to make the lid without a hissy fit since it worked first time.
If you are choosing your faves for Christmas do link to your blog in the comments cos I would love to visit you.
Would like to take this opportunity to say

Happy Christmas
to
Everyone

IT'S A PARTY

Oh yes IT'S A PARTY over Simon Says Stamps Challenge this week and a very naughty me as had this stamp for a while and it's not see ink until now. Although not a Christmas card I have used My Minds Eye Christmas papers and I used another new MS punch, the sentiment is woodware.
We had a fabulous response last week, I'm sorry I didn't get round to see everyones creation but you have two weeks to join this one as we're taking a week off for Christmas, so hopefully I will be able to get round to everyone this time.
We also are saying Goodbye to Anna who due to family and work commitments as had to step down from the DT, we will miss you Anna.
Finally all the food is brought, if we run out now we will have to make do and I just need to wrap some pressies, then it's all done apart from tidy up my craftroom so I can put back the stuff that's overflowed over the rest of the house.

A little Candy

Now closed
Waiting for Mr Linky to reappear.

14 posts ago I posted my 1000 post, when I started in the July 2006 it was the thing to do and it was about this time I had to give up work but Mr Blogger didn't like me and wouldn't post photos.
So it wasnt' till November that year that I really started properly to blog especially as DD was working in the US and finally Mr Blogger allowed me to post photos for her to see.
So since my blog counter wiped out 2/3 of my hits and I deleted it I thought I'll give a little candy but my Postman had a week away from his round and his replacement decided if it wasn't an envelope he wasn't going to post it and over a week later the missing small parcel arrived has we was leaving for MIL.
So finally here's a couple of Mo's Manning stamps and I'm sure I can find some ribbon and flowers to add to them. So lets hope I've managed to make Mr Linky to work. I draw it on the 2nd January after I've had a day to get over the night before.

Thanks

Whoops I was suppose to put a bit of glitter on her wings but I was desperate to get this card photo in daylight. I've used the sketch on Sketch Saturday and used a flower instead of a circle. The papers are Bo Bunny and the lattice is a punch from Martha Stewart and last but not least the stamp is WOJ, a bit of a coincidence but she is today's advent draw on Katharina's blog.
My poor Sis went to lunch yesterday and it took her 4 hours to get home and my niece who works less than 5 minutes away from her Mum's house took 3 hours to get there and didn't bother going home to Hook. Here in Guildford we had no snow but couldn't go anywhere cos everywhere around us had problems.
Last year on Christmas Eve I chose my favourite five Christmas cards and I plan to do the same this year, I would love you to join me if you have time, also I going to chose my favourite five of the year on New Year's Day. There's no prize but I would love to see everyones own favourites.

For the one you love

I thought I was done with Christmas cards but Penny Black Saturday challenge whats you do use a Christmas charm so I was going to give it a miss but while blogging yesterday some-one made their hubby a card, WHOOPS I did it again forgotten to make OH a card.
I didn't have a christmas image ready but I did have these mice and I still have some Christmas papers from My Minds Eye handy. The sentiment is from a Christmas word set from Woodware.
I have used the sketch from Sunday sketch and stamp but I draw a rough sketch of it to take to my craft room and it looks nothing like the real thing so maybe I will have to have another go.
Not sure how much crafting I can get done today, off later to visit some friends and drop off some presents.

Just Tilda

The wonky photographer has returned and I'm not saying how many attempts it took to get this picture because is far too embarrassing.
This is the card I've made for the Just Magnolia challenge which is a sketch, I've used a new Tilda from the Winter Kit, which I confess that I was happy not to have more Christmas Tilda's cos I'm all out of Christmas Card Inspiration. Thats why this is a Thank card which I'm going to need after Christmas hopefully.
The papers are Paper Adventure that found and the lace is from Hobbycraft, I was going to use the lace as a border that attached the bow but I thought it would be a waste since the bow would hide the lace underneath.
I had a brilliant day yesterday and so pleased we made to MJ, the main roads were fine and they only had a sprinkling of snow, so once out of my Sis estate we had no probs.
Now I have the boring job of putting all my stuff back.
While blog hopping I've discovered that Caz has also made 1000 posts and has a wonderful candy too.

Mother and Child

I haven't done a WOJ challenge for a while even though I've been using the Santa's and Henry mouse stamps. This week there's a sketch and since I love sketches I thought I'll give it a go.
The papers are K& Company that I brought while up with MIL and I've used one of the fab Mother and child stamps from WOJ, this set was brilliant and will be used for many years to come I reckon. Not sure where I got the lace and the flowers are out of my stash.
Hopefully today I'm off to MJ Every Moment Matters all day providing the snow keeps away.

Shopping List Pads

The challenge on Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge is for last minute gifts, so after visiting the new Poundland in Farnborough I picked up these jotter pads there's like 8 in the pack. Can you believe that two of the Magnolias have never been used, shame on me.
The papers are BG Nook and Pantry and I couldn't be without the MS borders, the sentiment is PC generated, punched out using a stampin' up word punch.
Nice and quick pressie wish they were all like that.

Edwin the dreamer

I still struggling with Mr Mojo not sure if I like this card but I do think this new Edwin is cute. The sketch I've used is Sketch Saturday and the papers are the Citrus pack from DCWV that I brought from the range.
The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps and I've embossed the background with a cuttlebug folder then just ink the centres which I think looks cute.
We have a bit of snow, not much but already I'm listening to list of schools that are shut.

Penny Black Mice Again

Well Mr Mojo has left the building but there is nothing like a pair of mice to help him return. It's been hard to get motivated but I coloured these mice and I used my fave Bo Bunny papers from last year that I found in a craft shop while up MIL. I've followed the sketch over on A spoonful of sugar, I did find this a bit tricky cos I didn't want a boring circle behind the image so my extra large Daisy punch came in handy for this.
It seems ages ago we went up to MIL but even that didn't go according to plans. DS and DD were coming with us but DD went to work on Weds morning and came home with a frightful head cold and she had a red nose like Rudolph only it didn't flash.
Then Thurs morn while we were getting ready to leave DS rings to say he's been awake all night with chills, cough and a terrible headache, we're pretty sure he had flu not sure whether he oinked, so we left them both at home.
The following day DD who didn't feel too bad and definitely suffering from a cold had to go and pick up Tamiflu for her brother, good job she had her swine flu jab a few weeks ago.
Like I said I did manage a visit to a craft shop and popped into The Range too but there wasn't much there.
Enough waffling, need to finish a layout, CJ and I've a few images coloured ready to be used for cards.

Whiff of Joy Santa's

Possibly my final Christmas Card and I've choosen the WOJ Santa's, this is for the Merry Christmas challenge on Simon Says Stamps Challenge. Had to keep it simple didn't realise how much room the Santa's needed. The papers are My Minds Eye and Santa's were coloured with Prismacolors pencils and sansodor.
Thank you all for your kind words and it was a great comfort to me. Carol was my friend, cousin and was my Bridesmaid over thirty years ago, it was such a shock. My heart goes out to her family.

Just for You

I had planned a day of cardmaking but I've had some really tragic news and I just don't feel like it now. Since this card was almost made I finished it although I realise now that the Mojo sketch I drew is nothing like the real thing, its missing its scallops for a start. Oh well hopefully I've read the Penny Black Saturday challenge right for Red and Gold. I've not made a Christmas card but I still have used My Minds Eye christmas papers.

Sleep well my Friend.

Birthday Mimi

I didn't think I had a card for today but I'll forgotton all about this cutie hiding in my photo album. Its a Pink Gem card using Snowflake Mimi but I've used her for a birthday card using a sketch from a couple a weeks ago from Inspirational Card Sketches.
Mimi's dress is perfect for paper piecing and I've use BG Nook and Pantry and various flowers out of my stash, this card will be going in my box for the Marie Curie cards if Do-crafts does it again next year, if not I'm sure somewhere else would like them.
Not sure if I'll be crafting today, I also suffer for few days after all the travelling and I'm up at the hospital today as well, which in hindsight isn't the best day for going, but the sooner thats done the better.

A Pink Gem of A Sunday

A Polar Bear is not just for Christmas cos he makes a fab Baby card too. I found some baby paper in my stash and add some white flowers, a heart border with a ribbon and you've a cute baby card. The cute Polar bear is from Pink Gem Designs

And because I wasn't happy with my Polar Bear card the other day, I've used him again with flower soft and use white cardstock which I think works better. I painted the PVA glue that way I could pressed down on the flower soft to get a better coating. The sketch is Stamp with fun and of course I had to use the icicle border somewhere and it wouldn't be right with massive amounts of glitter.

Snow Saturday

It's my turn to choose a challenge on Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge, so for those last minute Christmas cards my challenge is for Snow, so I'm talking Snowman, snowflake, snowlady, the choice is your and I look forward to seeing them all.
I've used this cute Snowman from High Hopes, with BG Eskimo Kisses and the flower is Prima, not forgetting loads of glitter but of course the camera just doesn't show how glittering it is.

Girlie Penny Black

A girlie Christmas Card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge, I've used the PB stamps that I brought off Susie, I was lucky to get a few and I'm so pleased with this one it was really quick to colour and will work with all different colour papers. Only thing is all my Christmas Cards are done so watch out for next year the Hedgies could be the new Mice. The last of the pink Kaiser papers and the Stamps Away sentiment has been working hard lately. Oh does any one know where my ticket sentiment from Magnolia that I brought last year is, I know I brought it cos I found a card I made with it on.
I loved my time with PB Saturday Challenge and the lovely Liz is their guest this month.

Home Grown Baby

Another Home Grown stamp from Sugar Nellie and I thought the sketch on Sketch Saturday would be perfect for this chap. The papers are Stampin up and the flowers are the retro punch, cuttlebug embossed daisy and I've used a new Martha Stewart punch for the daisy border. The sentiment is WOJ one and there had to be a bit ribbon somewhere.
Early start today, we're off to MIL so hopefully Mr Blogger is behaving.

New Pink Gems

Just a quickie but have you seen the new Pink Gems, I love the Owls, hope you're reading this Janet. But the fairy is so cute and those little babies and what about the puddy cat. It's going to be hard to choose.
