Less is More

When I saw the sketch on Less is More and I knew I had a few stamps that was made for it but they're actually in a box of Christmas stamps that has been put away and I had planned to get Hubby to get them when it was October which will be tomorrow a bit late for the challenge
But some stamps are in boxes by who makes them and that includes High Hopes and I thought this Snowman could be the answer. Of course there was no way he was going to be flat and I used stitched diamond embossing folder which you can match together to emboss a square ( I really wanted to used the candy cane stripes but obviously in safe place)
I stamped the stampin up sentiment before I embossed the card. Overall I please how this card turned out, now I just need to be able to photo it nicely.

Another Post Box

Quite a lot of sketch challenges have a circle mat for the main image and most of my coloured up images either haven't enough room round them to cut out a circle or their better fitted in square or rectangles.
But I overcome this with the Molly Blooms Post Box and overlapped the circle and placing the image off centre.
I'm really pleased with how it turned out, the snowflake embossing is a Sizzix folder and snowflakes and border are Martha Stewart, the sketch is Sketch Saturday this week. A lot of stickles and gems later it was finished although I feel it needs a sentiment somewhere but not sure where.

WOYWW

Well we're nearer to October with lighting speed and I'm trying to get ahead of myself and you can probably guess by WOYWW this week that maybe there are some Halloween challenges planned for the future. It the one time of year that my Cricut gets a good workout, I only really use it for Titles for Scrapbooking.
The bats, tree, web and sketon comes from the Paper Dolls Dress Up and the spiders are from Doodlecharms.
After I cut out the black sketon I realised him should be white so I cut the largest I could using my Cricut Create it allowed me to cut him 11 inches on A4 card.

Simon Says Anything Goes

Nice and Easy challenge on Simon Says Stamps Challenge this week its Anything Goes and I decided it was time for a Tilda card. Simon Says Stamps has a huge collection of Magnolia stamps and the dies including this little Miss which is Secret Tilda from the Merry Little Christmas but I think she works all year.

The papers are Victoria Gardens from Echo Park gosh it was hard to cut into the beautiful papers and the matching flowers are Nellie Snellen large and medium flower punches.  The team is showcasing brads this week to show how Simon Says Stamps is a one stop craft shop, I was going to use them in the flower centres but knew I needed something in the corner and found that I had these Kaiser Brads but of course I can't find the exact ones on the website but I did find loads more that I need, love that they come in various shapes and sizes and of course Simon Says Stamps has the matching papers too.

Now don't forget someone has to win this fabulous prize but you have to join in, need some inspiration then do check out the team.

Pink and Brown

We have a Pink and Brown colour challenge this week on Everybody Art Challenge. I've used another of the teacup girls from Stampbellas which I'm sort of collecting everytime I do an order with Simon Says Stamps.
The papers are First Editon, the swirl is the Doo Hickey one from Magnolia and I refer to the border punch from Martha Stewart has my wrought iron fence but I'm pretty sure it isn't called that.
My funky flower punch from EK success with Leone-em stamens finished with some pearls.
Don't forget to check out the team and we would love for you to join us.

Sweet Sketch Fairy

I just love this sweet teacup fairy from Mo Manning not too sure if I should of use the Prima papers but you can't hide her cute-ness.
The sketch is Sweet Sketch Wednesday and yes that is my new swirl but I did warn you and the large flower is Prima too .
I had a brilliant day at Ally Pally and .................
You think I caved in a brought stamps well I resisted and didn't buy one stamp although I have enough ribbon and pearls for Christmas and I brought a Hougie board I've been thinking of buying one for ages. Another expensive spend was on Lavina DVD  hoping this will help me finally get to grips with brayering.
Sorry for another short and sweet post.

I've used First Edition papers and Greeting Farm image, the border is the scroll and dot border punch from EK success and the swirl is from MFT which was in my wonderful parcel from Simon Says Stamps.
I guess you will be seeing a lot of it while I get it out of my system.

A Pink Penny Black Saturday

Gosh time is flying and its yet another Saturday and that means another challenge on Penny Black Saturday Challenge. This week is for Monochrome and I decided to go with Pink colours and it meant that I could finish off using the My Girl papers from Echo Park.
I used one of my favourite Penny Black mice stamps and I put some heart gems where the hearts were stamped.
The heart border punch from Martha Stewart gets an outing and I draw round the border on the dark pink card and cut it out so I can stick the border on it so it can have a dark pink background.
The flowers are an EK success and a craftwork card sentiment.
Don't forget to check out the team and there's a fantastic prize from Fantastic Ribbon who I believe have some new ribbons in stock.
It's not just any Saturday, this weekend its Ally Pally so if you going today have a fabulous time and leave me some goodies because up to now I shall be going tomorrow.
Yes I know some things will be sold out but to be honest Saturday means I sit and watch the world go by and get bashed in the head by rucksacks cos its so busy its impossible to get a wheelchair round with hitting people on the ankles especially the ones that randomly stop in front of you.
I have a list and I've mentally been telling myself all week I don't need anymore stamps, I don't need anymore stamps I don't need anymore........................................

Christmas Holly

Did you miss me yesterday, I had nothing to show quite rare for me but Mr Mojo has done a runner again this time he took Mr Motivation with him. But I was determined to make something for today to try and kick start my motivation.
So I used the Pink Ink sketch and this new slapstick image from Penny Black was already coloured. I didn't mind cutting out of the leaves but I cut the berries too. When I got to the last one I wondered what I was thinking about.
Then because of the busy image and the fabulous Authentique Wonder papers I couldn't make any embellishment work so I just left it plain.
I've just popped over to their blog to get the link and I won the challenge.
Hopefully that will help and the parcel from Simon Says Stamps for Mr Mojo to return.

Snow Family side step card

Well we have a fabulous challenge on Everybody Art Challenge we want you to make side step card. Well I've never made one before and thought this would be really difficult but I found this tutorial here. The only difference is the fold at the front I followed the same steps again. The only measuring I did was for making the mats.
The papers are Nitwits, the holly Martha Stewart and the trees my favourites from Marianne designs but run through the cuttlebug using the snow falling folder.
My snow family are downloads from Cuddly Buddy by Karen Middleton aren't they adorable.
Do hope you can join in, if your not sure check out  the team and the tutorial I found, can't believe how easy it was and I will definitely be making one again.
Bit of a devil to photo .

Penny Black Poinsettia

I love how this Penny Black poinsettia worked out. I stamped it three time and using distress inkpad Barn Door and Firebrick and a blending tool. But it did come at a price and I'll only be making it now and again because my joints didn't like it.
All that was left was to emboss the leaves and layer it with some tiny yellow pearls to finish. Of course there has to be something wrong with it but this time its the sentiment I could of stamped it a bit lower but at least it stamped nice and cleanly.
The challenge Totally Papercrafts is looking for CAS and Less is More is looking for a 1000 entries for their Anything Goes so I reckon this card ticked those boxes.

Now I drawn the again the stamps and here is the number

Friendship

We have a brilliant challenge this week on Penny Black Saturday Challenge its for Friendship. I thought this slapstick stamp was perfect for the challenge. I matched the colours to the Prima papers which is the reason for the yellow watering can.
Some of my favourite punches, the Martha Stewart Picket fence, the medium EK sucess funky flowers with a Leone-Em centres and not forgetting the Quickutz corners.
Now there had to be a bit of ribbon and the sentiment is Craftwork cards and some pearls to finish the flowers.
Do pop over to the challenge blog and check out the fabulous samples from the team.

Bauble Fairy

I hate camera how can my red baubles and his red pants be pink yet my matching ribbon is red. Not sure I know how to rectify this so you will have to pretend that it matches well it does in real life.
My adorable image is from Cuddly Buddly, I think its a Karen Middleton. It works for Things with wings challenge on Papertake Weekly and I 've used sketch 55 at Sketch and Stash where you choose one of their previous challenge.
The digi papers are from Zoe Pearn at Sweet Shoppe called Merry and Bright. Border punch is EK success scroll and dot, the strip is 3 inches wide before punching and fits 10mm ribbon and of course Martha Stewart Holly punch which I have to get out of my system.

Less is More Pairs

I knew straight away when I read the Less is More Challenge this week for twos that these tweet little birds from Penny Black would be perfect. Generally I don't buy clear sets that often because of the size of the images but I just had to have these birds and I brought the set just for them.
I used the sentiment in the set too.

I saw this style of card from my Penny Black team-mate Helen and thought how fabulous it was. So I had a go with a stampin up tree and using chalk pad stamped directly to the paper twice. Quick and easy cards for Christmas thiat is till the chalk ink dried and turned from a green to a dirty yellow!

WOYWW and Scrapbooking

So this is the kind of mess I leave after every card I make although it can be worst and after each card I clear the space on my craft mat, well most of it. This is what welcomed me on my WOYWW this morning after making a few cards while Hubby enjoy football last night on the large telly while DD was away. She's back now catching up her telly viewing and sporting a black eye. She's had been kayaking in France and hit herself in the face with the paddle!
I have been Scrapbooking and I've sorted out my favourite pics of my Nieces Wedding. Again I'm going to use different sizes to my scrapbook for interest. The first one is using the Martha Stewart around the page stamp. The page size is 8inch square and it was perfect for what I had in mind and I will be using those stamps again, especially this leaf stamp.

Look at me stamping on the page but the paper bag was standing by in case I hyperventilated. I had a small problem that MS around the page punches are not 8inches.

Not happy with this page I reckon I may have to put some else on it.

Wish it could be Christmas everyday

Gosh another Wednesday where is the time flying to. It does mean its time for another Simon Says Stamps Challenge and this time its a song title or film. Now the DT have been quite clever with their titles but me I took the cheats way out and brought out my Penny Black sentiment stamp just like the song it comes out every Christmas. The festive couple are a new Penny Black slapstick stamp and lots of Glitter.  The paper pack is Authentigue Wonder which is fabulous and the Holly punch from Martha Stewart.
Do pop over to the challenge to check out the team they've done  fabulous work for the challenge.
Someone has to win this fabulous prize but you have to enter the challenge to win it.

Finally I recommend check out the Simon Says Stamp blog its a month of tutorial, candy and offers.
